Looking for a new, FUN party idea for your friends, your bridal wedding party or a new activity for your church, retirement community or other social group? How about a unique idea for a fund raiser?
Beading parties are affordable, easy and highly appealing as a social event for adult women, whether they are moms, working gals, dear friends, the bride and her attendants and even seniors who are looking to stay active and creative.
"Yes you can!" was my advertising slogan for my bead store in Pagosa Springs in the mid-90s (before President's Obama's campaign chose it as their slogan!) and I really mean that.
Beading is the most ancient form of human decoration, starting with shells and "pretty" stones thousands of years ago. You can find beads in every culture through the ages, in many different forms and made from hundreds of different types of materials.
We gals love to adorn ourselves . . . but many will tell you, "I'm just not creative."
"Yes, you can!" create a beautiful one-of-a-kind bracelet or necklace in one of my beading parties and have fun with your friends at the same time. You may never become a die-hard beader or jewelry maker, but you WILL go home with a piece of jewelry that you can either wear yourself or give as a gift.
Beading parties are easy to set up. I will come to your location and bring everything that's needed: beads of all kinds, the findings for making a bracelet or necklace, any necessary beading tools and I will give you and your guests professional instruction to complete a piece during the event.
You invite your friends or create a community group, provide a table and chairs in a well lit spot, maybe provide a little wine or other beverage and some nibbles, and in no time, you will start to see the natural creativity begin to emerge from your guests and participants.
I've seen that flip hundreds of times as people who thought they could never do anything creative shift from the left to the right side of their brains and are absolutely delighted with what they have designed.
If you are an activity director at a senior retirement community, beading is an activity that seniors can easily participate in that actually stimulates brain activity. Even those with some mobility issues can participate.
